Sea Recovery’s Ultra Whisper™ Desalinator—with its unique EfficientSea™ Energy Transfer technology—brings efficient, compact, and extraordinarily quiet watermaking to small and mid-size power or sail boats that either have only DC power available or small AC generators less than 4 Kw in size. The unit’s Energy Transfer Device eliminates the need for a high-pressure pump, reducing the electricity consumption of the watermaker by as much as 75%. The reverse osmosis (RO) process is achieved by recovering energy from the pressurized brine discharge and transferring that energy to relatively low-pressurized feed water. An ingeniously designed manifold and a two-valve flow control system deliver smooth, constant, and fault-free one-touch automated operation with no valves to adjust; it self adjusts to any feed water condition. The patented energy recovery device pump is manufactured with Nitronic 50 material providing corrosion and erosion resistance.
